MATTITHYAHU- Matthew 22:2-14 is a parable about the Kingdom of Yahuah. Yahusha tells the story of a king who gave a wedding feast for his son.

Many of us are aware of the symbolic references in scripture between the called out assembly being identified as the bride of HaMashiach, and him being the bridegroom. I’m We will take a look at one scripture in particular that sums it up best;

EPH’SIYM- Ephesians 5:22-33 says, “Women, submit yourselves unto your own men, as unto YAHUAH. 23 For the man is the head of the woman, even as HAMASHIACH is the head of the the called out assembly: and he is the Saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the called out assembly is subject unto MASHIACH, so let women be to their own men in everything. 25 men love your woman, even as HAMASHIACH also loved the called out assembly, and gave himself for it; 26 that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word 27 that he might present it to himself a glorious called out assembly, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their woman as their own bodies. He that loves his woman loves himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherished it, even as HAMASHIACH the called out assembly: 30 for we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his women, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning HAMASHIACH and the called out assembly. 33 Nevertheless let everyone of you in particular so love his woman even as himself; and the woman see that she reverence her man.

So, it should make since now as to why Yahusha used this parable. The righteous union of a husband and wife is extremely significant and plays an important role. This is why hasatan does everything in his might to defile marriage. Marriage is the foundation of the Kingdom of Yahuah, marriage should direct us back to HaMashiach.

The wedding feast is important to Bible prophecy. In the end, it is the day when Yahuah will gather the set apart and we will rejoice in celebration which is why the the 7th and last Feast, Feast of Tabernacle is so important.

The king in the parable commanded his servants to bid for those invited to come, but they wouldn’t come (Matt. 22:3). In verse 4 he sent out servents again to bid those invited to the feast and verse 5 says, “ But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:”  The remnant that was invited entreated the servants spitefully and killed them and as a result, the king punished them. (Matt. 22:6–7). The king sends his servants out again, but this time, he tells them “Go therefore to the highways,  and as many as he shall find, bid to the marriage.” It says that both bad and good were found and brought to the wedding as guests. (Matt. 22:9-10)

Yahusha is delineating vía this parable, the spreading of the Gospel, first to the Yahudym (Apart of the Tribe of Judah / Jews) and then to the non-Yehudym. The nation of Yahudah (Judah) purposely rejected the TMH by choosing to be disobedient and rejecting His prophets. The result was the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. The remenant turned away from TMH so He extended the Gospel to the non-Yehudym which is why the wedding contained not only the good, but also the bad in verse 10.

Eventually…

The king joins his guests and sees “a man which had not on a wedding garment:” (Matt. 22:12). The man unfortunately couldn’t explain why he wasn’t dressed properly and consequently, the king ordered the servants to “bind him hand and foot,  and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matt. 22:13). The wedding garment was symbolic of salvation. If one has not accepted Yahusha HaMashiach into their life because he is the only way to ABBA; he will not inherit the Kingdom of Yahuah. There will be no celebration, no wedding feast, no rejoicing. Yahusha concludes the parable by making a concise statement in verse 14: “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

He in fact is calling all 12 tribes of Yisrael to Himself. He is also calling the non-Yehudym. Will you refuse the call? Refusing the call is refusing the opportunity to repent which leaves one not being able to receive the Gospel of Yahusha HaMashiach. TMH’s willingness to “call” is not contingent on your good behaviors and/or deeds; however, TMH’s CHOICE in choosing you is totally and soely contingent on your choice in choosing His son Yahusha HaMashiach and believing that he hung and died on a tree for you. He was the ransom for sin and he redeemed us back to Abba.
